Gueto (qual o ônibus que pego depois da rodoviária)

Gueto is a collective project. We thought of dance and where we wanted to go with this type of dance that comes from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.  The baile charme was our starting point and the journey was long and fun.

Sonia Destri Lie studied dance in Europe and the US with choreographers like Pina Bausch, Marly Taveres and Tatiana Leskova. She came into contact with urban dance in Germany and created Companhia Urbana de Dança when she moved back to Brazil. They were invited to perform at Biennale de La Danse de Lyon, in 2006 and 2008, as well as in other international festivals.
