One of the highlights at the column of Marcus Faustini today in the newspaper O Globo, Panorama Festival congratulates the choreographer Alice Ripoll for her work with Suave. The creation is part of the 2014 Entrando na Dança, which opens this Friday, 5, at the Arena Carioca Dicró at Penha. Phenomenon of the musical genre Funk, the Passinho was the inspiration for the concept of the show, in which Alice worked with ten dancers of the Arena’s surroundings for three months.

Hectic pace, Passinho carries a vital energy of the movement, which dominates the bodies of these young people and presents very distinct traces of the beat that it comes from. Through this rich composition of movements, mixing styles like frevo, samba and kuduro, Ripoll works these steps and create a piece with a singular narrative.

Besides Suave, Entrando na Dança this year presents two more creations, all built through a contemporary perspective: one of Charme, signed by Sonia Destri Lie, and one of Hip Hop, directed by Renato Cruz.
